The Board of Governors extends its sincere welcome to all 1Ls arriving on campus. We're kicking off another exciting year at Lincoln's Inn. We're starting the year off with two huge parties, in hopes that every 1L will stop by and learn about what the Inn has to offer: a fun social oasis from the drudgery of 1L year, a regular gathering place, and the most unique space at any law school.

All 1Ls are invited to our kickoff parties. Information about other upcoming events will be posted here as well.

Friday, September 2 – 7:00PM – at the Inn
Welcome to HLS BBQ
We welcome all 1Ls to HLS with our annual BBQ/open house party. All night, we will have great food and free drinks from our basement bar. Get to know your classmates, learn about Lincoln’s Inn, and realize you’ve already completed the hard part about HLS.

Sunday, September 4 – 9:00PM – at the Inn
Lincoln’s Inn-famous 80s Party
Dig deep in the closet and find those 80s clothes for our Inn-famous 80s party, whether you like punk-rock, Miami Vice, or My Little Pony. Find that special someone for the moonlight couples skate, and rock the night away with us to 80s music, 80s movies, lots of drinks, and lots of fun.
10:00PM - COSTUME CONTEST – Dress up in your favorite 80s threads or as your favorite 80s TV or movie character. The Governors of Lincoln’s Inn will award a free membership to the 1L partygoer with the best 80s costume.
